- Profile
- Lori Emerson will be a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Literature, Communication, and Culture at the Georgia Institute of Technology beginning in August 2007. Her research is concerned with establishing a deep-reaching account of what digital poetry is, what it does; her critical work presents a historically and theoretically-based model for reading digital poetry by way of representations and conceptualizations of space, time, and bodies within a limited scope of twentieth-century science and poetry. If you'd like to see some of her work available online, see her essay on the conceptual NYC poet Kenneth Goldsmith, an essay on the space of digital poetry, a review of Walter Benn Michaels and Susan Howe, and a review of e-poet/critic Loss Pequeno Glazier. She is also Associate Editor for the Electronic Book Review and co-editor of The Alphabet Game: a bpNichol Reader - an anthology of writing by the Canadian digital/poet pioneer bpNichol.
