I am a PhD student in Comparative Literature: English-Italian, at University of Maryland — College Park. My interest lies in the analysis of the connection between digital poetry and the poem's context of production in conjunction with the idea of (national) language in an attempt to problematize both the existence and the location of the national identity in the cross-cultural poetics. By nationalistic elements I understand any elements, be they linguistic components such as words; images as carriers of particular significations, or even strategies of digital practices that belong to and particularize a nation's cultural tradition. Currently, I am exploring the Italian digital poetry.
