Zephyr Pfotenhauer is a serious student, a fine artist and a debauched intellectual currently fascinated with virtual identities, trickster methodologies, autobio-graphics, documentations of desire, cross/dressing, and Claude Cahun. Intrigued by the relationships between decadence and decay, Zephyr believes that identities, stories and affiliations are meant to be worn out-- but she rarely throws anything away. She is presently becoming (and unbecoming) a Master of Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she is working on creating a doppelganger of text and image, 'Ambiconti' (which, like all good scientific monsters, has recently taken on a life of its own). An ongoing project of ambiguously altered egos and contiguous id-entities, the documentation of Ambiconti's trajectories can be viewed and read-into at ambiconti.blogspot.com.
